Heli-One is a leading rotor wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) company, supporting a wide range of helicopters. Their workshops include base maintenance, line maintenance, component & engine repair, and overhaul, and they span across international facilities in the following cities: Vancouver, Canada; Stavanger, Norway; and Rzeszow, Poland.
Heli-One engaged ED&I to create a dashboard that would increase team engagement and provide transparency of the team activities. We designed what we called the “Virtual Workshop”, created to be displayed on large-format displays in all of Heli-One’s physical workshops.
Composed of status report dashboards, the Virtual Workshop was aimed at:
Increase team engagement and provide transparency of key activities in the helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul workshops.
A dashboard that provides at-a-glance access to critical information and cross-referencing of key process components, with viewing settings that are customizable to team preferences and needs.
WORK IN PROGRESS (WIP) STATUS REPORT
Refreshed every 5 minutes, and set to scroll through at personalized intervals, the dashboards simulate the feeling of a departure and arrival board at an airport. The workshop team can independently configure additional viewing settings to their preferences and toggle between workshops for a company-wide perspective.
